Project Highlights Menu

World Karate - Do Championships

In August 2006, with 862 competitors from 41 countries, the JKA World Titles was the largest number of nations attending an event in Australia since the 2000 Olympics
excluding the 2006 Commonwealth Games. RSD Television managed the exclusive television coverage and outlets to all media nationally on a daily schedule.

This project also included live coverage to dual Big Screens flown in the structure of the Olympic Sports Centre at Sydney’s Olympic Park, highlights packages for newsroom specials [Sports Tonight on TEN, SBS Toyota World Sport, Fox Sports News], on- location television interviews and satellite crosses, advertising design and shooting for a 30 minute documentary about the sport, samurai lineage and world-class action from the event. This program has been aired on multiple occasions by Fox Sports in Australia and SKY Sports network in New Zealand.
